Year 3 have been learning all about ‘Castles’ this half-term.
We have enjoyed dressing-up as various people who worked and lived in castles, building castles in the Block Area, as well as creating beautiful artwork based on different types of castles.
We also investigated materials and tested their elasticity. We chose the most suitable material and used this to create our very own catapults!
Our topic really came to life on our walk to where Ballymena Castle once stood. We spotted many clues along the way and couldn’t believe that the original castle stood so close to where the leisure centre now is!
