Year 6 pupils have been reading ‘The Butterfly Lion’ novel. This term they have explored Bertie’s life through the eyes of Michael Morpurgo. The pupils have worked together to become journalists summarising the key events of Bertie fighting in the First World War and being reunited with his precious, white lion. They created newspaper reports using the app ‘Comic Life’ and sketched the setting of the book showing the beautiful, African sunset.
