Stay Safe Online 🎮

28th Feb 2025

Take a look at how we celebrated Safer Internet Day 2025.

Mr Duffin’s class led an assembly to highlight the importance of staying safe online and ways to do so. During the assembly, they performed a rap created with a little help from an AI friend. Classes also took part in a live iPad lesson using the Adobe Express app with Dominic Traynor, where they created infographics on ways to stay safe online. Take a listen to the rap and have a look at some photos from the day.

Internet Safety Mascot

As part of Safer Internet Day, we held a competition for children to design our school’s first-ever Internet Safety Mascot. The designs by all the children were excellent, showcasing their creativity and imagination. We had a winner from each class and then two overall winners. Jack from Year 7 designed ‘Seb the Safety Bot’ and Cara from Year 6 created ‘St Colmcille’s Safety Terminator’. Their outstanding designs will be proudly painted in our ICT suite and featured online to promote internet safety. Well done to all the children who took part in making this event a huge success! We hope that all children will remember our mascots and help keep themselves safe online.
