On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome Sean and Trevor back to St Colmcille’s to share the incredible impact of the shoebox appeal we took part in earlier this year.
Our school community came together to donate a fantastic 250 shoeboxes, each one filled with thoughtful items such as toiletries, socks, underwear, and sweets. These gifts were carefully packed with love and compassion, ready to be sent to families in need in Romania. In March, Sean and Trevor personally delivered the shoeboxes to the families, and during their visit to school this week, they showed us photos of the happy faces and special moments when the shoeboxes were received. It was truly moving to see how something so simple could bring so much joy and comfort to others.
