The focus for Maths Week 2020 in St. Colmcille’s was Data Handling with each year group completing activities linked to the theme.
Year 1 created Block graphs of their favourite shape.
Year 2 sorted autumn leaves using different criteria.
Year 3 measured items less than and greater than 1 metre and sorted them.
Year 4 completed a tally chart of different shapes they found in the playground and used a bar graph to show their findings.
Year 5 collected data on how many times they could complete an exercise in 30 seconds and displayed their results.
Year 6 created a line graph based on how many times they could bounce a ball within a specific time interval.
Year 7 worked out the mean, mode, median and range of successful basketball shots within their class.
