Today, Shauna O’Neill made a special visit to Year 5 and Year 6. During her visit, she illustrated the real-world applications of maths in her role as an IT Trainer at JTI.
She involved the pupils in a hands-on maths activity in which they established a sweet shop, specialising in selling Haribo products. This interactive exercise was designed to help pupils understand product pricing, profit calculation, and money handling.
Olivia, in particular, had a fantastic time with her mum visiting her class today. We want to thank Shauna for taking the time to enlighten us all about how maths plays a crucial role in her profession.
