Year 1 have been very busy learning all about different people in our community who help us. 🧑🚒👮♂️👩⚕️
We have been exploring a variety of non-fiction books about what happens in an emergency. We then recreated emergency scenarios in our role play and small world play.
At the block area we built structures ranging from fire engines and ambulances, to police stations and hospitals.
We ended our topic with a visit from the PSNI who showed us their equipment, told us all about the importance of staying safe and let us listen to the siren on their police car. It really brought our learning to life! 🚓
