The school council along with their friends form Carniny PS had the opportunity to take part in an election count as part of MEA Borough Councils Democracy Week celebrations. The election was to decide the top children's author within the borough and the pupils were fascinated to experience how a real election works.
The children also had the opportunity to meet Mayor Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna and visit the Mayor's parlour and the Council Chambers. Thank you to David, the Civic Events Co-ordinator for organising the day for the pupils.
