This term the children have been busy exploring our topic of Houses and Homes. They had great fun building houses in the Block area and creating their own houses out of junk material. The painting area was a hive of activity with a number of children painting their own houses as well as houses from other countries or from long ago. The children also used Bee-Bot to select different tools needed for the building site and had great fun sorting the furniture into the different rooms of the doll’s house. Earlier this term the children had the opportunity to visit Waterstones as part of Book Week. They followed an online lesson based on the Hungry Caterpillar and produced some beautiful artwork of the Hungry Caterpillar and of Hansel and Gretel! They also enjoyed their Paired Reading session with the older pupils form Year 4 and 5.
