We have been busy in Year 2 since we came back after Christmas.
Our new topic is Light and Dark. We learned about nocturnal animals and how they can survive in the dark. In Literacy we wrote reports about nocturnal animals and during Play Based Learning we painted foxes, owls and badgers and made clay hedgehogs. Our Home Corner was turned into a bedroom and we had fun carrying out bedtime routines.
We carried out some science experiments to investigate whether we or not we can see light through different materials. We also explored the importance of colour in keeping safe on the road.
