Chris Surgeoner, an electrical engineer from NIE visited P2/3 today. The pupils learnt what an engineer was, the protective gear they wear, alongside the various roles and areas in which they work. They explored where electricity comes from, how it is used and what NIE Networks do. Most importantly, the pupils learnt how to stay safe around Pylons and Substations.
They also learnt how Chris uses maths daily in his role in NIE- this truly brought Maths Week to life.
The children were delighted to receive NIE merchandise and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Thank you Chris!
